More info:

Carlo Sella (he/they) is a transdisciplinary theatre-maker and artistic researcher based in Barcelona. As a PhD candidate at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, he explores how performative methods can generate communal grounds for addressing environmental and social justice. He teaches Arts and Sustainability at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona within the Master’s in Political Ecology and Environmental Justice, and facilitates workshops across European universities. His approach proposes embodied and performative methodologies to collectively reflect on themes such as transdisciplinarity, degrowth, and third spaces (University of Antwerp, Tilburg University, Fontys Academy of the Arts, Luiss University). Carlo works in relation to specific territories and community contexts, engaging memory, imagination, and the politics of place. He is co-founder of Alt-Shift, an educational festival exploring degrowth, and Arraiga, a theatre company focused on post-growth futures.
